Description:

Calicchio has a long and rich history of producing high quality hand-crafted trumpets. The company was initially started by solo instrument maker Domenico Calicchio, and these instruments were crafted as early as 1928. Eventually, Domenico would hire various family members and other employees into his business as he got older. After his death, the company brought on master craftsman John Duda, who would end up buying the company outright and partnering with Marcinkiewicz to carry on Domenico’s legacy he worked so hard to create.

This particular Calicchio 3/9 Trumpet is estimated to be made sometime between 2010 and 2015, and is in fantastic shape. It features a sleek brushed satin finish, a #3 large bell, and a #9 leadpipe. The #3 bell and #9 leadpipe are both the largest in diameter that Calicchio offers, with a .459" bore. This horn is perfect for players who want a free blowing trumpet with a large, warm sound.
